PROGRAM TRACKS
MARKETING AND BRANDING:
This track’s focus is on the fundamental concepts of successfully marketing and branding an artist. From tv and radio promotions, to social media marketing, logos, websites, trademarks, etc. This track is essential for success in the industry.
AUDIO PRODUCTION & RECORDING ENGINEERING:
This track focuses on teaching individuals the fundamentals of music production and the multi-track recording process. With certification, upon completion, by demonstrating the necessary competencies to produce and record a music selection.
VIDEO PRODUCTION & VISUAL COMMUNICATION:
This track focuses on the essence of visual communication and music production. Music videos are a form of storytelling and building a relationship with your fans, creating new fans, and expressing yourself with a visual medium. Music videos reach out to your audience and give insight into your art, character, and what you value. Music videos speak to a community and can create one.
ARTIST DEVELOPMENT:
This track’s focus is on the fundamental concepts to help artists become successful within the music industry. Covering topics such as stage presence, studio recording, choreography, vocal production, etc. There is a difference between being an artist and being a multi-media mega star – our goal is to help unlock your full potential and take you from “just another artist” to breakout talent.

To apply to STLF Interest 2 Income, students must:
• Be between 18 to 26 years of age.
• Have at a minimum a high school diploma or GED
• Submit two (2) letters of recommendation
• At least three (3) samples of work relevant to the Program Track selected
• Complete and submit the online application

REQUIRED INFORMATION AND RECOMMENDED SKILLSETS:
MARKETING AND BRANDING
Students should have intermediate to advanced knowledge and/or usage of Adobe’s Creative Cloud (including the following apps that will be of primary usage for the program):
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe InDesign
An additional bonus is if the student is familiar with any of these apps in mobile form for the iPad:
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Fresco
Students should already possess the following skills/experiences:
- Logo Design
- Brand Identity (logos, merch, advertising, etc.)
- Cover Art Design
- Music Package Design
- Art Direction
- Graphic Design
- Drawing, Illustration
- Photography (for cover art and/or marketing and promo campaigns)
- Content Creation for Social Media
Potential students should submit 3-5 examples of any of the above work they are interested in as follows(if there is a strong preference in one of the above skills/experiences, student’s 3-5 samples should be in that category):

4.) List of all professional recordings/officially released projects
5.) Submit two (2) MP3’s of professionally recorded songs produced
Engineering:
1.) Bio detailing history and accomplishments
2.) Education & certifications (If any)
3.) DAWS system you engineer/mix with (Pro Tools, Logic, Reasons, FL Studio, etc)
4.) List of all professional recordings mixed
5.) Submit two (2) MP3’s of mixed songs/recordings
Songwriting:
1.) Bio detailing history and accomplishments
2.) Publishing Affiliation
3.) List of all artists you’ve written for as well as names of songs written for them
4.) Two typed song lyric sheets from song catalog
5.) Submit two (2) MP3’s of professionally written songs produced
VIDEO PRODUCTION & VISUAL COMMUNICATION
Operations of DSLR camera

ARTIST DEVELOPMENT
Knowledge of production experience
Detailed listing of all professionally released projects (singles, ep’s, albums, mix tapes, etc.)
Proof of previous performance experience (performance footage & advertisements, listing of venues performed at, promoters/booking agents worked with, notable artist opening performances or collaborations etc.)
